Police apprehend drug smugglers employing drones in Punjab

In Kot Radha Kishan, Kasur district, police broke up a gang believed to be utilizing drones for drug deliveries, as reported by a private news channel.

Police reported that the gang utilized drones for transporting drugs between locations. In a search operation, two individuals were apprehended, and authorities seized more than 1 kilogram of narcotics along with a drone.

 The suspects, Nisar and Abdul Majid, were apprehended for using drones in drug distribution. In a separate operation, law enforcement arrested Ramzan, also known as Jani, and Javed, recovering 4 kilograms of hashish from them.

The police have filed cases and are continuing their investigation. Earlier this month, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted seven operations nationwide, seizing 833 kilograms of narcotics and apprehending three suspects.

An ANF spokesperson reported that 748 grams of methamphetamine were confiscated from a passenger at Bacha Khan International Airport. Another 400 grams of methamphetamine were discovered in a package sent from Rawalpindi to Australia.

In Mashakhil, 460 kilograms of opium were recovered, and an additional 319 kilograms were found near Pishin Road, Quetta. In Karachi, 41 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized from a container, and in Hyderabad, 7 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from a motorcyclist near a railway crossing.
