Gold Price Stable in Pakistan After Thursday’s Surge

Gold Price Stable

Following a significant rise of nearly Rs. 2,500 per tola on Thursday, gold prices in Pakistan remained stable on Friday.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold held steady at Rs. 240,600 per tola, with the price of 10 grams remaining at Rs. 208,333.

The Sarafa Association noted that the price of gold has been kept Rs. 4,000 below cost due to the reduced purchasing power of buyers.

Earlier in the week, gold prices in the local market remained unchanged on Monday, then increased by Rs. 700 per tola on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the price dropped by Rs. 400 per tola, only to surge by Rs. 2,400 per tola on Thursday.

In the international market, spot gold fell by 1.8 percent to $2,333.69 per ounce as of 1123 GMT.
