The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has provided financial and technical assistance to 15 IT/ITeS software companies for ISO27001 and ISO27701 certification so far this fiscal year, as revealed in a document obtained by ProPakistani.

PSEB anticipates completing the certification process for these companies by the end of FY2023-24.

In a move to standardize the Call Center industry, PSEB has also supported 20 call centers in obtaining ISO18295 certification. Additionally, 304 call centers have received assistance for IP whitelisting through the PSEB One Window, enhancing their capability to serve international customers.

PSEB’s efforts to help IT companies attain international certifications aim to increase their marketability and performance in global markets. This support also contributes to improving manpower quality and ensuring industry upskilling.

The Pakistan Software Export Board has facilitated the enlistment of Pakistani IT companies on the GEM Board of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). This initiative aims to boost the number of listed technology companies on both the PSX Main Board and GEM Board, thereby strengthening the financial ecosystem for the IT/ITeS sector and enhancing Pakistan’s global IT/ITeS industry brand.

PSEB has appointed AKD Securities Limited and JS Global Capital Limited to assist in listing 16 IT/ITeS companies on the GEM Board of PSX. Currently, four companies are in the consultancy process with AKD and are expected to be listed by the end of FY2023-24. Additionally, 13 companies have submitted Expressions of Interest (EOI), with consultancy work for these companies set to commence within the current fiscal year.
