Vivo is gearing up for its next major launch event in China on May 30, where it will unveil two new upper mid-range smartphones, the S19 and S19 Pro. The event is scheduled to start at 7 PM China time, which corresponds to 4 PM in Pakistan.
Although Vivo has not released the complete specifications for the S19 series, a company executive revealed that the S19 Pro will feature a 50MP main camera equipped with the Sony IMX921 sensor. It will also include a 50MP Sony IMX816 telephoto lens with 50x digital zoom, and the front camera will sport a 50MP sensor as well.
In a series of teaser images, Vivo has confirmed the inclusion of the Aura Light Flash, a feature commonly seen in its V series phones. The images also display all available color options for the new devices.
Rumors suggest that both the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro will come with triple camera setups comprising 50MP primary, 50MP telephoto, and 8MP ultrawide lenses. They will both feature 6.78″ OLED displays, with battery capacities differing between the models: 6,000 mAh for the S19 and 5,500 mAh for the S19 Pro.
In terms of processing power, the standard S19 is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, while the S19 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 9200+.
As the launch date approaches, Vivo is likely to reveal more details through its ongoing teaser campaign.
