Chairman FBR Inaugurates New Regional Tax Office in Islamabad

Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, inaugurated the new building of the Regional Tax Office (RTO) in Islamabad on Thursday.

During the inauguration ceremony, Chairman Tiwana highlighted that the new state-of-the-art RTO building symbolizes FBR’s commitment to modernizing the tax system, making it more efficient, transparent, and taxpayer-friendly. He emphasized that the establishment of this office demonstrates FBR’s dedication to fostering a culture of tax compliance and trust between tax authorities and citizens.

Chairman Tiwana mentioned that the new facility is fully equipped with modern technology to better facilitate taxpayers and streamline the tax collection process. He acknowledged the challenging economic times and reaffirmed FBR’s commitment to maximizing revenue collection for the country’s economic prosperity. He urged all officers to maintain the highest standards of integrity and professional commitment in their duties.

The Chairman appreciated the efforts of Member Admin/HR Sadia Sadaf Gilani and Chief Projects Shahid Soomro, along with their teams, for successfully completing this challenging project. He also extended his gratitude to Pak PWD and other stakeholders for their continuous support.

Earlier in the event, Member Admin/HR Sadia Sadaf Gilani and Chief Commissioner RTO Islamabad Abid Mehmood addressed the gathering. Chief Projects Shahid Soomro also presented a brief overview of the planning and design of the new facility.
