Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 to Feature New Camera Design and Smaller Crease

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is set to receive significant upgrades, including a smaller screen crease and a new camera design, according to reputable tipster Ice Universe.

Both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Z Flip 6 will feature a smaller crease thanks to a thicker Ultra Thin Glass (UTG), which increases from 30µm to 50µm. This improvement is unrelated to the hinge design, which remains the same for the Z Fold 6 but is expected to be redesigned for the Z Fold 7 next year.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will also be thinner and lighter, making room for these updates but not for a new hinge. Additionally, the phone will sport a new camera design. Unlike the Z Fold 5, which has small metal rings around its lenses, the Z Fold 6 will feature lenses with a textured groove encircling them. While it will share the same camera setup as the Z Fold 5, the highly anticipated 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor will likely debut in the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6, along with the Z Flip 6 and other new gadgets, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in early July.
