FBR Restricts Visitor Entry Amid Budget Preparations

FBR

To maintain confidentiality and security during the budget preparation process, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has restricted visitor entry at its main headquarters.

A circular issued by the FBR specifies that only the FBR Chairman, Tax Members, and Director Generals (DGs) are permitted access to the premises.

Visitors wishing to enter the FBR HQ must now arrange their visit in advance and secure an appointment. If a confirmed meeting or appointment is rescheduled or canceled, it is the responsibility of the concerned party to notify the reception well in advance.

The federal budget for 2024-25 is set to be presented in parliament on June 7, 2024.
