Cristiano Ronaldo recently showed his support for his former Real Madrid teammate Toni Kroos after Kroos announced his retirement following Euro 2024 with Germany.

On Kroos’s post, Ronaldo commented with words of encouragement, saying, “For everything and so much more, Toni. What an honor to share the field with you. All the best for the future.”

Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, was one of several notable players who paid tribute to Kroos after the surprising announcement.

During their time together at Real Madrid, Ronaldo, 39, and Kroos, 34, played alongside each other for four years, winning a total of 11 titles.

These titles include one La Liga, one Supercopa de España, three Champions League titles, three UEFA Super Cups, and three FIFA Club World Cups.

From 2014 to 2018, they dominated the football pitch as a dynamic duo.

Kroos will conclude his La Liga journey with Real Madrid on Saturday in their match against Real Betis. Following this, he will participate in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on June 1.

Additionally, Kroos’s German national team will kick off their Euro 2024 campaign against Scotland on June 14.
